Today we went on a field trip to 2 places:
-Borneo Springs something liddat la
-Matang Wildlife Centre
First stop is Borneo Springs. The entire Form 2 went together this time to the same place. How FUN! All of us were divided into 3 buses, some 2A students shared a bus with the entire 2B and the teachers in our bus were Cikgu Agien and Mr.Camillus.
At first, when the bus left the school, I got a little excited thinking about whether something fun/dramatic will happen in this field trip, like last time the field trip to Matang Wildlife and Mervyn's fought with an orang utan over his bag which the orang utan took and also when an orang utan tried to snatch Janna's bag away from her. HAHA. =}
BUT, THEN, what turned my excitement OFF completely was the traffic jam. GOODNESSGRACIOUSME! (copyrighted from Mr.Dunstan Lee) If I am not wrong, we took I think probably not less than 1/2 AN HOUR OVERALL just to get through the stupid jams. Summore it's in the morning, not like it's lunch time or anything.
Yea, yea, people rush to work in the morning, whatever la..but lunch time is worse. That's when people go to eat and you see twice the amount of cars you see in the morning. Lucky adults. Some of them wake up later than their kids. =/. Not a good example.
Then finally what seems like 1 1/2 HOURS, (but I don't think it's that long la), we finally reached Borneo Springs. Sharon got really excited about the Borneo Springs. She was like "Did you know you can swim here?" and all that. We saw the sign : "Borneo Springs" so we were thinking springs as in big kolams with clear water. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
You know what the spring was?!
A place where a big (if I'm not wrong) blue USL labelled metal-looking big big tank where the water is stored I guess, a tank with water leaking from it and the tank had brown muddy stains on it. HOW INTERESTING!
Yes, that was the spring. SO MUCH BETTER than we expected. What a BIG difference from what WE THOUGHT! =D
Summore, actually the most interesting thing I saw was the process of how the labels on the bottle actually stick to the bottle.
1st process: Bottles are created by plastic. AMAZING! They make their own bottles! =O
2nd process: There's some kind of machine that grips the bottles upside-down while there's a spray that actually washes the bottle
3rd process: Bottles are filled with water and put on some kind of machine..you know those machines in the airport where you wait for your luggage and there's these rollers that can make the surface move carrying your bag towards you? Yea..same concept for these machine. The bottles are placed on this moving machine. =.=
4th process: Workers place labels on a bottle
5th process: Position the labels properly
6th process: There's a machine that when the bottles pass through the labels actually contract and you can see it contract and when it comes out the label just sticks firmly on the bottle. AMAZING!
7th process: Bottles are packed in boxes
UNFORTUNATELY, we weren't allowed to take pictures! I REPEAT, weren't ALLOWED, NOT allowed but DON'T CARE, but WEREN'T ALLOWED, *clears throat* so sorry if you don't get the picture. =/ Not my problem anyways =D
Overall, it was very boring. The only people that were friendly was the man who showed us around. The other workers act as if we weren't there. How FRIENDLY! How POLITE! How COURTEOUS! =)
I was SO SAD when we had to leave the Borneo Springs to go to the Matang Wildlife Centre which has many endangered species that some I've never seen before.
The trip took less than 15 minutes. It could have been faster if the road wasn't blocked due to construction. When we reached there, we were given a briefing by some man and we all headed in groups of 15.
We go see all the animals. The orang utans UNFORTUNATELY, were caged up this time, disallowing any drama to happen like before =(..
We saw some big ape that looked like King Kong and this ape had its own space and a very big space it was. We had to climb up to look at it cause the wall enclosing it was too high to see from ground level. The ape is HUGE! and VERY SMELLY! It was lying down and many thought it was dead but when it suddenly like come up..AIYO!!!! The smell is horrible seriously. UNCIVILISED! Don't take baths wan. Huh! Oh ya, did I tell you that this ape, it has the most BEAUTIFUL face I have ever seen. It's face is actually small, but two huge flaps on both sides make it look grotesquely large =D. And it was being very hao lian. It think it so cool, go climb all the way up look at us. Ask it to swing don't want don't want lo. In the end, Cikgu Agien scold us for coming down late cause' we were too carried away shouting at it to swing down. -__-" I call it hao lian. Kenneth called it "bastard". Hmm...
Then we go see the orang utans finally. Then the guys, (Joel and his gang) were of cause' messing around with the orang utan. Then one orang utan started swinging.
I forgot who say but someone say, "Why the orang utan dick so big wan?"
Then someone, if I not wrong Jethro say "That's not a dick, that's a vagina."
Then someone I donno who also dis wan say "How come the vagina so big one? Where got vagina so big?" Oh ya, it's Jethro or Joshua lol.
Then suddenly when it was swinging, got like drops of water dropping from the peepee then Joel say "EeeE! Why got water drop from the private part one?"
Then suddenly someone say "Lavinia, don't stand near the orang utan ar, later it pee on you"
=.="
Cikgu Agien scolded Joel for commenting what he commented, saying something like he should watch the orang utans and not other things. =}
Aiya I don't want say liaw la..Oh ya, after that we went back to school, On the way, the roads were wet and the water splashed in the bus and Joshua drank the water. =D..I think that quenched his thirst. After that, 50% of us fell asleep while some of us just keep talking -.- We reached back to school at around 1.30, half an hour later than the expected time but anyways we were given 1/2 an hour for lunch =D
